Kolkata: The West Bengal Police has announced Job notification to hire candidates who completed B.Sc., B.Tech/B.E, and MCA for the position of Cyber Crime Consultant.
The name of the recruiting company is West Bengal Police. The name of the post is a Cyber Crime Consultant. The number of posts available is 8. The salary for the post is Rs.35, 000/- Per Month. The job location is in Kolkata. The last date to apply is 31.3.2020.
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the posts of Cyber Crime Consultants (Software Support Personnel) on a temporary & contractual basis in compliance with GO NO. 5859 — F(Y) dated. 22/07/2013 of Government of West Bengal, Finance Department and GO No.3787/PWPB/4P-27/12 (Pt.1) dated 26-12-2019 of Govt. of West Bengal, Home & Hill Affairs Department, Police Establishment Branch.
The Educational Qualification required is BE / B-Tech / MCA or equivalent degree in Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication / Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering OR BCA / B.Sc. with at least 3 years of post-qualification work experience. The Desirable skills required are Certificate in Digital Forensic by C-DAC Or any Other Govt. recognized training agency or reputed institute. Experience Of Data Recovery / Analysis/ Carving With any Of the Standard Cyber forensic Tools and working experience of forensics tools like Encase, FTK, Paraben, Helix Deft, Winhex, Win UFO, Internet Evidence Finder (IEF), E-discovery, Autopsy, etc. Ability to make forensically sound images of digital media, (i.e) SATA, IDE, Flash drive using imaging software (such as FTK imager, etc.) both software and hardware-based write blocking devices. iv) Experience in doing forensically sound images of Cellular Phone, exploitation and extracting relevant data using UFED Celebrite, XRY, Oxygen Forensics, Mobile data, MPE+, Paraben or any other open-source tools. Knowledge of different PC & Mobile OS like Windows, Linux Mac OS, 10s, Android, Windows Mobile OS, and its fi Ie system. Knowledge of Network Forensics and anyone tools like NeSA, etc. Working knowledge of E-mail Investigation, Stenography, file/Folder/Partition/Drive Encryption. Experience of wiping, verifying, and validating media before and after conducting an examination.
The Remuneration will be Rs. 35000.00/- only per month and enhancement of RS. 1000/- per year subject to their satisfactory performance, attendance, etc.

The candidates qualified after the written examination may be called for practical test if required. The qualifying candidate shall be called for an interview before the selection board for assessment. The interview shall have a maximum of 15% weightage in the total assessment. A panel of selected candidates in the Order Of merit shall be prepared which will be valid for six months from the last date of the interview. However, the appointment shall be issued only in the Order Of Merit. The candidates shortlisted for the Interview will be intimated by E-mail only. The engagement of the Software Support Personnel will be on a contractual basis. The terms and conditions of the engagement will be as per Government rules. Last Date of Application is 31/03/2020.
