Rachakonda Police apprehended accused involved in interstate online Human Trafficking Sex Racket

Rachakonda: On the eve of International Day against trafficking 30.7.2020 the Rachakonda Police SOT Malkajgiri busted interstate online Human Trafficking Sex Racket and apprehended one trafficker and rescued four victims, three from West Bengal and one from Vijayawada.

On the late hours of 28-07-2020, on receiving credible information the sleuths of SOT Malkajgiri Zone organized Decoy Operation at Rampally crossroad, under Keesara Police Station limits, Rachakonda along with local police and apprehended one organizer Vamshi, online interstate Human Trafficker and rescued four victims. The Police Seized Mobile phones from their possession. A case was registered with Cr. No. 478/2020 U/Sec. 4 and 5 of PITA of Police Station Keesara.

The details of accused persons are as follows.

  1. Vamshi Reddy alias Krishna Reddy; Suribabu, resident of Balkampet, S.R. Nagar, Hyderabad To Chilakaluripeta, Guntur. He is the Assistant organizer.
  2. Anjali who is the main organizer is absconding.
  3. Chinna is the Co-Organizer who is also absconding.

The accused were organizing illegal online sex racket in Hyderabad and Rachakonda and other areas and earning money illegally by subjecting women and girls into forced sexual activities. The other traffickers Anjali and Chinna are absconding.

The Human traffickers Anjali and Chinna are natives of Vijayawada and Vamshi Reddy from Guntur District and they formed into a gang and were organizing an online sex racket in Hyderabad and surrounding areas of Hyderabad. Anjali and her associates are having contacts with the Traffickers who are operating in other states and with their connivance, they managed to procure girls from West Bengal and Vijayawada by paying the advance amount to their source and brought them to Hyderabad and confined them in a rented room at Balkampet area under S.R.Nagar Police Station Limits, Hyderabad and uploaded their attractive pic in social media to attract the customers by giving their contact numbers. Whenever the customers contact them, they ask them to select the pic and after receiving the amount from the customer by an online process, they take the victims to the customer’s place for sexual activities and take them back to their place.

The SOT Malkajgiri team organized decoy operation at Rampally area under Keesara Police Station limits and apprehended One trafficker Vamshi Reddy who brought four victims along with him for indulging them in sexual activities with customers. The other two traffickers Anjali and Chinna are absconding on knowing about the apprehension of Vamshi Reddy. The apprehended trafficker and the four victims rescued from the duchess of traffickers are handed over in Keesara Police Station for further necessary action against the traffickers and for the rehabilitation of the victims.

The police seized mobile phones from the possession of traffickers which is being used for online trafficking. Efforts are in progress to nab the absconding traffickers Anjali and Chinna.

The victims from other states are often brought to Hyderabad by the traffickers, by giving a false promise to their parents to provide good job opportunity and better life and by paying the meager amount as advance to the victim’s parents and believing them they send their loved ones with them and the traffickers after bringing them to Hyderabad to their source place and the traffickers forcibly indulge in sexual activities with the innocent girls by putting them under fear and they sexually exploit them by arranging customers and earning money illegally by spoiling the life of young girls. The victims left with no other option to pay back the advance amount taken by their parents are unwillingly undergoing the mental and physical torture subjected by the traffickers and indulging in sexual activities hoping for a day to return back to their parents. The human traffickers are playing with the lives of women, young and minor girls by forcibly indulging them into sexual activities by confining them in rented rooms, for earning money.

The above arrests were made under the direct supervision of Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat, IPS Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, and by Mr. J. Surender Reddy, IPS Addl. Deputy. Commissioner of Police, SOT Rachakonda, and by Mr. G. Naveen Kumar, Inspector SOT Malkajgiri Zone, Mr. Narendar Inspector Keesara and Sub-Inspector Mr. G. Srikanth and the staff of Special Operations Team and the local police.

The Commissioner of Police Rachakonda has appealed to citizens to strengthen the hands of law enforcement in timely passing on information about online, offline trafficking networks and saving lives of innocent victims. On 30th July 2020, Rachakonda police are going to inaugurate the Anti Human Trafficking Unit at LB Nagar CP camp office complex to fight against organized crime of Human trafficking.
