Srinagar: Today on 01/03/2021, Police Public meeting was held at police station Karannagar with medical store proprietors, and the following issues were raised and discussed in the meeting:-
- Touting (especially at OPD Gate).
- Fitting of colored/filmed glass panes at their shops.
- Salesmen should not be without masks/gloves.
- Customers are directed to wear masks/gloves.
- Social distancing at shops during sale/purchase.
- Installation of CCTV cameras in and outside shops.
- Traffic jam/ Wrong parking in front of shops.
The above-cited issues were discussed in detail. The medical shop owners were briefed and directed to fit colored/filmed glass panes to their shops so that touting is stopped and the general public does not suffer in the future.
Participants were requested to install the CCTV cameras in their shops. They gave full assurance for installing the same. Participants were advised and suggested to shun the practice of dumping the stock of medicines, black marketing of such things, selling certain medicines at high rates due to sudden demand of same and have been advised to shun such practices. All the participants assured their full co-operation.
The Police also assured participants that all issues raised in the meeting will be redressed at the earliest through other departments as well as by the police.
