Chennai: During the curfew announced by the Tamil Nadu government to curb the spread of corona infection, 189 cases were registered on 15.7.21 for violating the corona curfew rules, and 286 vehicles were seized.
Cases have been registered against 730 persons who did not wear masks and 82 persons who did not observe social space. To prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, the issuance of a full curfew order by the Government of Tamil Nadu from 10.05.2021. The Government of Tamil Nadu is continuing the curfew with relaxations from 21.06.2021 morning to 19.07.2021 morning.
Announced to be in effect. In this regard, the Chennai Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mr. Shankar Jiwal, IGP, on their orders, made various arrangements to intensify the entire curfew with proper relaxation.
In this regard, the Government of Tamil Nadu has set up and monitored 13 border vehicle check posts at 12 police district boundaries in Chennai metropolitan area and vehicle check posts at all police station boundaries.
Appropriate action is being taken against the public and motorists violating the guidelines.
Following this, the Chennai Metropolitan Police conducted a vehicle inspection and patrol on 15.07.2021.
During the surveillance test, 189 cases were registered in connection with the violation of the Corona curfew in Chennai metropolis, including 284 two-wheelers and 2 autos in connection with roaming outside without necessities. A total of 286 vehicles have been seized.
