Hyderabad: As a part of Citizen Friendly and responsive Policing, Hyderabad City Police has taken a step forward during January 2015 and launched a Mobile App “Hawk-Eye”, to empower members of the public to become Citizen Police and nearly all users are using this application.
The Hawk Eye app facilitates the registered users to report the loss of their mobile phones. Based on the complaints, the ITCELL at 0/o The Commissioner of Police tracks the lost mobile phones by using their IMEI numbers. As a part of this endeavor, it is to mention that the team was successful in recovering 565mobile phones so far. Today, 56 mobile phones (Samsung, Vivo, Redmi, Oppo, Panasonic, Huawei, and Realme) with an overall worth of Rs.8, 00,000/- have been handover to the complainants in the presence of the Commissioner of Police Hyderabad city.
