Mannar: The Mannar police have arrested 49-year-old Bobby Thomas, who had been absconding for the past one and a half months, on November 16. The case was registered on the basis of the statement given and the police investigation was on. Bobby Thomas, who went into hiding after registering the case, came in with a new SIM card and received the number from the police yesterday.
The defendant was arrested from a relative’s home. Thirty – seven persons from Kozhikode, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, and Pathanamthitta districts have lodged complaints with the Mannar police station. The accused was arrested by a police team led by Mr. G Suresh Kumar, Inspector, and comprising SI Mr. Anil Kumar and civil police officers Mr. Siddiqui ul Akbar, Mr. Arun, Mr. Sajeev, and Mr. Dinesh Babu. Mannar Police Inspector Mr. G Suresh Kumar said that another case was registered in the name of Bobby Thomas and further action would be taken against him after he was taken into custody.
