Almora: On the direction of Dr. Manjunath TC, Senior Superintendent of Police, Almora, continuous action is being taken by Almora Police by conducting an intensive checking campaign against the violation of the model code of conduct and the elements affecting the elections in view of the upcoming elections. In this sequence, on 20.01.2022, the driver of the vehicle SKODA car number UK04R-0900 was checked in Chimtakhal Tiraha Salt during checking by the SHO, Salt Mr. Govind Singh Mehta on 20.01.2022.
The driver was identified as Pankaj Kumar age 21 years son of Ramesh Ram resident of village Kothal village Post Tolyo, Tehsil Salt District.
A total of 6 boxes in 3 jute sacks were recovered from the possession of the person while he was transporting illegal country liquor Gulab Marka costing Rs.21,000.00, and the said vehicle used in transporting liquor was seized and sued in the police station Salt. An FIR N0 04 /22 Section 60/72 Excise Act was registered and necessary action was taken.
The police team included Mr. Govind Singh Mehta (SHO Salt), C.N.P. 247 Mr. Patni Patni, and K0 Mr. Vikram Singh.
