Srinagar: As a part of the public outreach program, Police in Awantipora facilitated a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting at village Wahabsahab Khrew. The meeting was held while following social distancing norms and other protocols.
The meeting was organized on the directions of SSP Awantipora Mr. Mohd. Yousuf JKPS was chaired by SDPO Pampore along with SHO Khrew Police Station. The meeting was attended by respectable citizens of the Wahabsahab, Sharshali, and its adjoining areas.
During the meeting, participants raised various issues of public importance including drug menace, dumping of construction material on roads, and other several issues. The chairing officer assured the participants that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority and the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with concerned authorities for their early redressal. The chairing officer also sought their cooperation in maintaining peace and stability in the area besides, identifying anti-national and anti-social elements.
The participants in the meeting assured their full co-operation with Police and Administration in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of the Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely.
