Rachakonda: On 28.10.2022 Police Malkajgiri successfully arrested four interstate automobile offenders at Gulbarga District, Karnataka State who was involved in committing theft of passenger autos in Rachakonda and Cyberabad Police Commissionerates along with their other team members.
The accused persons arrested are:
Maganuri Srinivas(32) S/o Chandappa, an auto diver, resident of RTC colony, Moula Ali, Malkajgiri and native of Huda village, Adiki Mandal, Gulbarga District of Karnataka State. He is the prime accused
Munawar Baig alias Munna(25) S/o Ameer baig, an Auto driver, resident of Udigi road, Mahatma Gandi colony, Sedam. He is a Habitual receiver.
Anwar Baig alias Sharuk alias sheru(20) S/o Ameer baig, age-20 years, Occ-Auto driver, R/o Udigi road, Mahatma Gandi colony, Sedam, Gulbarga District, Karnataka. Habitual receivers
Jawed S/o Hassan Saab, age-32 years, Occ- auto driver, Muslim, R/o Udigi village, Sedam Taluka, Gulbarga District, Karnataka. Habitual receivers
The accused Munawar Baig alias Munna mentioned above had committed theft of passenger three wheelers autos in the limits of Police Stations Malkajgiri, Neredmet of Rachakonda Commissionerate, and Miyapur, Chandanagar, RC Puram of Cyberabad Commissionerates and sold to the accused Munawar Baig alias Munna, Anwar Baig alias Sharuk alias sheru(20), and Jawed and they are all residents Karnataka state and they are habitual stolen property receivers.
Modus Operandi
The accused person Maganuri Srinivas(32) S/o Chandappa, R/o RTC colony, Malkajgiri N/o Gulbarga District of Karnataka State is the prime accused and Munawar Baig alias Munna, Anwar Baig alias Sharuk alias sheru(20), and Jawed are habitual stolen property receivers.
The accused hail from Gulbarga District, Karnataka State presently stays at Moula Ali, Malkajgiri by profession running passenger auto, he is addicted to toddy, and is facing financial crisis. He is regularly identifying the parked autos in his routine job. He had taken advantage, parked his auto beside the crime places and committed theft of autos by pushing and started the auto and fled away. Further, the stolen autos were sold to the accused Munawar Baig alias Munna, Anwar Baig alias Sharuk alias sheru, and Jawed for appropriate prices. Munawar Baig alias Munna, Anwar Baig alias Sharuk alias sheru, and Jawed changed auto body shape, colour and marked Karnataka state unidentified new number plates, and scratched the engine and chassis numbers also and used the stolen property vehicles as genuine and given to needy auto drivers for rental basis. As per the confession of the accused Maganuri Srinivas, Munawar Baig alias Munna, Anwar Baig alias Sharuk alias sheru, and Jawed and recovered the stolen autos (21) from accused. In this case the remaining accused yet to be arrested.
The cases were detected with the help of CCTV footages and CDR Analysis. The cases could be detected with the continuous follow up of the movements of the suspects and the good work done in detecting the cases by Mr. B. Jagadishwar Rao, Inspector of Police, Malkajgiri Police Station, Mr. Krishnamal Sura, DSI of Police, Malkajgiri Police Station, Mr. K. Yadagiri SI of Police, Mr. G Laxmaiah, SI of Police and crime team under the leadership of Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat IPS, Commissioner of Police and Mr. G. Sudheer Babu IPS, Addl. Commissioner of Police Rachakonda and under supervision of Ms. Rakshitha, K. Murthy, IPS, Dy. Commissioner of Police, Malkajgiri Zone and Mr. P. Naresh Reddy, Asst. Commissioner of Police, Malkajgiri Division, Rachakonda.
