Krishnagiri: On information received by the police that people were gambling illegally under a banyan tree in Kariyachandram village under Parikai police station, Krishnagiri district, in the forest area behind Gunam Kressar. The police rushed to the spot and arrested four persons who were threatening to prevent the police from doing their work, and recovered Rs.2,100/-, bundles of tickets and five two-wheelers from them, and brought to the station. A case was registered against them, and they were remanded in judicial custody and jailed.
