Bengaluru: The Bengaluru City’s traffic police department has taken proactive measures by issuing a comprehensive advisory aimed at ensuring optimal traffic management during the match between the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the iconic Chinnaswamy Stadium. This advisory, released on Thursday, outlines specific parking restrictions and offers alternative parking solutions to alleviate potential congestion in key areas surrounding the stadium, notably MG Road, Cubbon Park, and the vicinity.

The advisory, in anticipation of the IPL Cricket Match at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, emphasizes the implementation of traffic arrangements to facilitate smooth vehicular flow throughout the city. With the match scheduled to commence from 3 pm and continue till 11 pm, the traffic police have meticulously delineated areas where parking will be prohibited. These areas include prominent thoroughfares such as Queens Road, MG Road, Cubbon Road, Rajbhavan Road, and others along the route.

In contrast, to accommodate the influx of spectators and mitigate traffic congestion, the advisory highlights designated parking zones where vehicles will be permitted to park. These designated areas include the St. Joseph’s Indian School Ground, UB City Parking lot, and BMTC TTMC Shivaji Nagar 1st Floor, among others. Additionally, Kings Road within Cubbon Park has been earmarked for parking to facilitate smoother traffic flow in the vicinity.

In a plea for cooperation from the public, the advisory earnestly requests individuals to adhere to the prescribed parking guidelines and cooperate with traffic management authorities. “Public cooperation is vital in ensuring the success of these traffic arrangements,” underscores the advisory.

By disseminating this detailed advisory, the Bengaluru traffic police department aims to preemptively address potential traffic snarls, ensuring an enjoyable and hassle-free experience for both cricket enthusiasts attending the match and commuters navigating the city’s thoroughfares on match day.
