Deeg: A comprehensive cybercrime awareness campaign was organized in the Mewat region of Deeg District under the leadership of District Superintendent of Police (SP) Mr. Rajesh Meena, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Deeg Mr. Gumnaram, and Station House Officer (SHO) Mr. Khoh. This initiative aimed to educate and inform the public about the growing threat of cybercrime, with a particular focus on rural and vulnerable communities.
The campaign reached approximately 600 participants, including students, local residents, and village representatives from Toda, Garhi Mewat, Hingota, and Padla. During the event, law enforcement officials provided in-depth guidance on various aspects of cybercrime, including the different forms of online fraud, identity theft, phishing scams, and the misuse of social media platforms.
Attendees were taught how to protect their personal information online, recognize potential scams, and report suspicious activities to authorities. The campaign emphasized the importance of being cautious while using digital platforms, especially for financial transactions, and encouraged everyone to adopt safe online practices. The involvement of students aimed to raise awareness among the younger generation, while engaging villagers helped address the growing digital divide in rural areas.
This initiative not only promoted cybercrime prevention but also strengthened the relationship between law enforcement and the community by fostering a sense of collective responsibility in combating cyber threats.
