Tamil Nadu, Ranipet, May 5, 2025: In a touching display of solidarity and compassion, fellow police constables from the 2011 batch across Tamil Nadu contributed a total of ₹25,70,400 to support the family of late Grade I Constable Mr. Prabhu, who passed away on October 1, 2024, due to a heart attack.
The financial aid was extended through the initiative “Kaaki Udhavum Karangal”, and the amount was formally handed over during a gathering at the Ranipet District Police Office. The contribution was presented to the bereaved family by District Superintendent of Police Mr. Vivekanand Shukla, IPS, who also offered his heartfelt condolences.
Out of the total contribution, ₹25 lakhs were deposited in LIC savings schemes in the names of Mr. Prabhu’s daughter and son. As per the request of his wife, ₹70,500 was given in cash to his aged parents.
The initiative was lauded by SP Mr. Shukla, who commended the unity and compassion displayed by the 2011 batch constables. The event was attended by several of Mr. Prabhu’s batch mates, marking a poignant moment of support and remembrance.
