Karnataka, Mysuru City, May 8, 2025: As part of a proactive initiative to ensure public safety and empower vulnerable groups, the Women Police Officer and staff of Mandi Police Station conducted a morning awareness patrol in the vicinity of the railway station, which falls under their jurisdiction.
The patrol specifically aimed to raise awareness among women and senior citizens about the growing risks of chain snatching and cybercrimes. The police team engaged directly with commuters and local residents, offering safety tips, guidance on how to protect personal belongings, and advice on recognizing and reporting cyber fraud.
Informational pamphlets were distributed, and the public was encouraged to reach out to the police helpline or visit the police station in case of any suspicious activity or need for assistance. The initiative is part of Mysuru City Police’s ongoing efforts to foster a safer environment for all sections of society, particularly those who are most at risk.
Mandi Police Station will continue such outreach and patrolling activities to enhance public trust and prevent crime through community engagement.
