Mysuru City, Karnataka May 8, 2025: In a proactive community outreach initiative, the women officers and staff of the Chamundi Women Security Force carried out a special awareness patrol this morning in the border areas of Jayalakmipuram and Krishnaraja Police Stations.
The patrol aimed at enhancing public safety and educating vulnerable sections of the society — particularly women and senior citizens — on key issues such as household security, chain-snatching prevention, and cybercrime awareness.
The team visited public congregation points such as bus stands and temples, where they interacted with residents and distributed informative materials. Citizens were briefed on:
Basic precautions to avoid chain snatching in crowded areas
Recognizing and reporting suspicious cyber activities
Securing homes against thefts and intrusions
Safely using digital platforms to prevent falling victim to scams
The initiative reflects the Mysuru City Police’s ongoing commitment to women’s safety, senior citizen support, and community policing through direct engagement and preventive education.
Such efforts by the Chamundi Women Security Force highlight the role of law enforcement not only in protection but also in empowering citizens through awareness and collaboration.
