Mysuru City, Karnataka, May 11: In a commendable effort to enhance public awareness and ensure the safety of citizens, the Chamundi Women Security Force conducted an extensive outreach and patrol operation this morning across the border areas of Alanahalli and Saraswatipuram Police Stations.
Led by women officers and staff of the force, the team focused on educating women and senior citizens at key public locations, including parks, bus stations, and temples. The patrol aimed to raise awareness on house theft prevention, chain snatching incidents, and the growing menace of cybercrimes.
With a proactive and people-friendly approach, the officers interacted with the public and offered safety tips, such as:
Securing homes properly, especially during absences or nighttime hours.
Remaining alert in public spaces to prevent chain snatching.
Identifying and avoiding online scams, including phishing links and fraudulent schemes.
The officers also distributed information leaflets featuring safety guidelines, helpline numbers, and digital safety practices, particularly geared towards protecting senior citizens from cyber fraud and financial scams.
Residents responded positively to the campaign, praising the women’s force for their dedication, clarity of communication, and approachable demeanor. Many expressed gratitude for the department’s efforts in directly engaging with the community and addressing everyday safety concerns.
This initiative is part of the Mysuru City Police’s larger mission of community policing and crime prevention through education and trust-building. The Chamundi Women Security Force continues to set a shining example of compassionate, alert, and community-focused policing.
