Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka, June 5: An Open House Programme was organized at the Women Police Station, Chikkamagaluru for the students of Basavanahalli Government High School, aimed at creating awareness about safety, legal rights, and the role of the police.
During the session, students were educated on a wide range of important topics including Functions of the Police Department, Child Rights and Protective Measures, The POCSO Act and Child Marriage Prohibition Act, Cybercrime Awareness, Consequences of Drug Abuse, Road Safety and Traffic Rules, and Emergency Helplines 112 and 1930.
Police personnel engaged the students in interactive discussions and emphasized the importance of being informed, alert, and responsible citizens.
This initiative reflects the Chikkamagaluru Police’s commitment to community outreach and youth safety, fostering trust and awareness among the younger generation.
