Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, June 4: Director General of Police (DGP) Shri Kailash Makwana yesterday met with nine probationary IAS officers of the 2024 batch from the Madhya Pradesh cadre during their courtesy visit to the Police Headquarters.
In an engaging interaction, the DGP emphasized the importance of dedicated training and people-centric governance. Urging the officers to stay grounded, he said, “There is no need to show ‘sahabpan’. Your character and work style should speak for you.”
He encouraged the young officers to:
- Embrace humility in leadership
- Learn from subordinate staff without hesitation
- Maintain direct contact with the public to better understand their needs
- Ensure transparency and efficiency through the use of technology
- Promote coordination between departments, especially with the police, for better law and order management
DGP Makwana also shared valuable insights from his experiences in Morena, Mandsaur, and Bastar, inspiring the officers with real-world administrative lessons.
