Hyderabad/Goa: In a significant breakthrough in the fight against narcotics, the Telangana Narcotic Bureau successfully dismantled a major drug supply network operating out of Goa. In a well-coordinated covert operation, four interlinked drug gangs were apprehended, dealing a strong blow to the illegal drug trade between Goa and Telangana.
Among those arrested were DJs Vanish Takkar and Swadeep, who were allegedly supplying drugs in Goa’s pub circuit and smuggling them into Hyderabad for distribution. In a parallel operation, another gang involved in the illegal manufacture of Alphazolam was busted. The gang was operating from Goa and had been supplying the banned substance to various parts of Telangana.
A substantial quantity of Alphazolam was recovered during a raid at Suryaprabha Pharma Company, exposing the industrial scale of the operation. The Narcotic Bureau’s simultaneous raids on all four gangs resulted in the unearthing of vital evidence and intelligence related to interstate drug trafficking.
The operation highlights the Telangana Narcotic Bureau’s strategic planning, cross-border coordination, and relentless efforts in curbing the spread of drugs. The successful bust is being hailed as a milestone in the Bureau’s ongoing war against narcotics and organized crime.
