Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh: In a significant achievement showcasing the technological efficiency and citizen-focused approach of the Madhya Pradesh Police, the Cyber Cell of Singrauli District Police has successfully traced and recovered 328 lost mobile phones over the last six months. These phones, collectively valued at around ₹40 lakh, have been returned to their rightful owners.
This remarkable recovery operation was carried out under the guidance of Superintendent of Police, Mr. Manish Khatri, who had earlier directed the cyber team to take swift and systematic action on public complaints regarding lost or stolen mobile phones.
Acting on these directives, the Cyber Cell team utilized advanced digital tools and tracking methods to identify and locate the devices across various regions. After the successful tracing, the Singrauli Police organized an official handover event, where the owners were invited to the police office and personally returned their lost mobile phones.
The owners expressed heartfelt gratitude to the police team and lauded their sincere efforts, professionalism, and commitment to public service. Many said they had lost hope of recovering their valuable devices, but the police proved their trustworthiness once again.
SP Manish Khatri stated, “The police are not just law enforcers but also a support system for the community. Our cyber team is doing excellent work in both tackling cyber fraud and helping citizens recover their valuable possessions. The public’s trust is our biggest achievement.”
This initiative is part of the Madhya Pradesh Police’s broader campaign to enhance cyber policing and provide effective redressal mechanisms for digital complaints. The Singrauli Police have encouraged the public to continue reporting such incidents and assured that all efforts will be made to trace and return lost electronic items.
