North 24 Parganas, West Bengal: In a major breakthrough, police teams from Barrackpore and Bidhannagar have successfully busted an inter-state vehicle theft gang, recovering six stolen cars from Jharkhand and arresting two accused.
Following a series of car thefts reported in the Barrackpore and Bidhannagar areas, the Ghola Police acted on intelligence inputs and apprehended a suspect during a swift raid. Interrogation of the accused led to vital leads on the gang’s operations.
Acting on this information, a joint team of Barrackpore and Bidhannagar Police conducted raids in Jharkhand, leading to the recovery of the stolen vehicles. Efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining members of the gang.
