Idukki, Kerala, July 17, 2025: Demonstrating a strong commitment to women’s safety and empowerment, the Idukki District Police organized a self-defence training programme for newly admitted students at NSS College, Rajakumari. The initiative was carried out under the Janamaithri Security Scheme, with training led by specially trained women police officers.
The programme was formally inaugurated by College Principal Dr. Praveen, after which students received hands-on training under the leadership of Assistant Sub-Inspectors Bindu T.G. and Sophia K.S., Senior Civil Police Officer Bindu Mol T.G., and Civil Police Officer Anju Shaji.
This free training programme equips young women with essential self-defence skills, boosting their confidence and readiness to respond to unsafe situations. The initiative reflects the Kerala Police’s dedication to community safety, empowerment, and proactive policing.
