Dindigul, Tamil Nadu: In a major security initiative, the Dindigul Police have launched intensive vehicle inspections across key entry and exit points of the city, following the directives of District Superintendent of Police Shri Pradeep.
The operation is being carried out under the supervision of Nagar DSP Karthik, with coordinated efforts by Nagar North Inspector Venkatachalapathy, Nagar West Inspector Vinotha, and Nagar South Inspector Rajasekhar. Areas covered include M.V.M. College Palani Road, Loripet, Saveriyarpalayam, Kumaran, Thirunagar, near Shan Theater, Muthalagupatti, and Begumpur.
During the checks, police are verifying vehicle documents, enforcing helmet rules, and raising awareness on road safety, particularly among two-wheeler riders. Fines are being issued for violations, and awareness campaigns are being conducted to highlight the life-saving importance of wearing helmets.
This visible police presence and strict enforcement drive have not only enhanced traffic discipline but also sent a strong message to criminal elements, creating a sense of security among the public and deterrence among wrongdoers.
