Malappuram, Kerala: In a commendable display of vigilance and swift action, the Edakkara Police in Malappuram district intercepted a major ganja smuggling operation and arrested two individuals attempting to transport 16 kilograms of ganja concealed beneath fish boxes.
The accused, Anas, a resident of Kolathur, Kondotty, and Karengal Hakim from Chirayamanangad, Thrissur, had ingeniously hidden the narcotics in thermocol boxes under a layer of fish to avoid detection while transporting it from Andhra Pradesh.
Thanks to the sharp observation and prompt action of the Edakkara police team, the smuggling attempt was foiled before it could reach its destination. The seizure highlights the Kerala Police’s unwavering commitment to the fight against narcotics and their dedication to safeguarding the health and safety of society.
