West Siang, Arunachal Pradesh: In a heartwarming initiative, the West Siang Police successfully returned several lost and stolen mobile phones to their rightful owners during a brief yet meaningful ceremony. The effort underscores the police department’s commitment to public service and trust-building.
In addition to the recovered phones, police also seized four stolen scooters in connection with a theft case. One of the vehicles has already been handed over, while the remaining three will soon be returned to their respective owners after verification.
The West Siang Police also urged the public to actively use the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal — an initiative of the Ministry of Telecommunications, Government of India — to report lost or stolen mobile phones for quicker recovery.
This initiative showcases the department’s dedication to technology-driven policing and community welfare.
