Trichy, Tamil Nadu: In line with the directions of Trichy District Superintendent of Police, Mr. S. Selvanagarathnam, IPS, the Anti-Child Trafficking Unit (ACTU) organized an awareness campaign in the Navalpattu area to educate the public on crimes against women and children. The public was informed about important women’s helpline numbers 181 and 1091, as well as the child helpline number 1098.
As part of the initiative, students of Himayam Engineering College were also sensitized to the advantages of using the “Police Help App.” The app was demonstrated and downloaded, highlighting its features designed to ensure quick assistance and enhance public safety.
Through such proactive initiatives, Trichy Police continue to strengthen public confidence and promote safety awareness, especially among women, children, and students.
