Munger, Bihar: In a significant success for the Munger District Police, a strict conviction has been secured in a major Excise Act violation case, reflecting the commitment of the police towards eradicating illegal liquor activities and ensuring justice.
On the basis of the comprehensive evidence gathered during investigation, a detailed charge sheet submitted by the investigating team, and the credible testimony of prosecution witnesses, the Hon’ble Special Judge, Excise II, Munger, pronounced a judgment in the case.
The court sentenced Pahari Mandal, son of Late Makhru Mandal and resident of Maniyarchak Khandwa, Ward No. 02, Police Station Mufassil, District Munger, to five years of rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of ₹1,00,000. The conviction was awarded under Section 30(b) of the Bihar Excise Act in connection with Mufassil Police Station Case No. 125/2022.
The judgment highlights the strong groundwork laid by the police, where meticulous evidence collection, diligent follow-up during trial, and effective coordination with prosecution ensured that the case stood firm in court.
