Udupi, Karnataka, Oct 9, 2025: In a major operation against narcotics, the Udupi District Police destroyed seized drugs worth ₹15,21,427 at M/s Ayush Envirotech Pvt. Ltd., Padubidri, within the limits of the Padubidri Police Station. The destroyed substances included 9.937 kg of cannabis valued at ₹7,12,963, 345.596 grams of MDMA worth ₹8,08,464, and 61.43 grams of worthless white powder.
The destruction was carried out under the supervision of Superintendent of Police and District Dope Disposal Committee Chairman Hariram Shankar, IPS, along with Assistant Superintendent of Police Dr. Harsha Priyanchana B.P.S., Deputy Superintendent of Police Prabhu D.T., and other committee members and officers from M/s Ayush Envirotech Pvt. Ltd.
The narcotics were seized across 10 cases, including three cases from Udupi City Police Station, two from Sen Police Station, and one case each from Malpe, Padubidri, Shirva, Karkala City, and Manipal Police Stations. These cases spanned from 2021 to 2025 — with one case from 2021, three from 2024, and six from 2025.
The Padubidri Police Station Crime No. 76/2021 case has been concluded, with accused Abdul Rahiman convicted and fined ₹8,000 by the Hon’ble Court. One Manipal Police Station case from 2025 remains under investigation, while the other cases are currently under trial.
The Udupi Police reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining a drug-free district, ensuring strict enforcement and timely disposal of seized narcotics as per legal procedures.
