Tenkasi, Tamil Nadu, October 13, 2025: As part of the ongoing initiatives to promote women’s safety and social awareness, the Tenkasi District Police, under the guidance of District Superintendent of Police S. Aravind, organized a Women’s Safety Awareness Program at Parasakthi Girls’ College, Courtallam.
The program was led by Additional Superintendent of Police (Cyber Crime) Julius Caesar, who addressed the students on key topics such as women’s safety, cybercrime prevention, road safety, and the harmful effects of drug use. He emphasized the importance of using emergency helplines like 1930 (Cyber Crime), 1098 (Child Helpline), and 181 (Women Helpline) to seek immediate assistance during emergencies.
Students were encouraged to download the Kaaval Uthavi App, which enables users to access police assistance instantly through the SOS feature. ASP Julius Caesar highlighted that the app is a vital safety tool for people of all age groups and should be installed on every mobile phone.
A short film on the Kaaval Uthavi App was screened, and awareness pamphlets were distributed to students. The event was attended by Courtallam Police Inspector Muthu Ganesh, College Principal Dr. S. Amrit Valli, faculty members, and police personnel, who all reiterated their commitment to building a safer society for women.
