Patna, Bihar: In a major success against illegal liquor smuggling, the Special Operations Team of the Prohibition and Narcotics Control Bureau, Bihar, acting on specific intelligence, intercepted a 10-wheeler truck transporting foreign liquor from outside the state into Bihar.
With the assistance of the Kuru Police Station, Lohardaga District (Jharkhand), the joint team conducted the operation on October 16, 2025, resulting in the seizure of approximately 3,664 litres of foreign liquor. Two accused persons were apprehended on the spot.
The operation reflects the Bureau’s continuous efforts to curb interstate liquor trafficking and enforce Bihar’s prohibition laws effectively. Further investigation is underway to trace the source and network involved in the smuggling.
