Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu: In view of the upcoming Diwali festival, Cuddalore District Superintendent of Police Mr. S. Jayakumar, I.P.S., inspected the ongoing security arrangements in Neyveli on Monday.
During the inspection, the SP reviewed the deployment of police personnel, traffic regulation plans, and patrolling measures to ensure public safety during the festive period. He issued detailed instructions to officers to maintain round-the-clock vigilance in crowded areas, markets, and near temples.
The SP also emphasized the importance of preventing the sale of illegal firecrackers, ensuring smooth traffic flow, and taking necessary steps to avert any untoward incidents during celebrations.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Mr. Charles accompanied the SP during the inspection and briefed him on the preparedness of the local police teams.
The SP directed all officers to remain alert, respond promptly to public grievances, and ensure that the festival is celebrated peacefully and safely across the district.
