Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh: With the ‘Menta’ cyclone forming over the Bay of Bengal and expected to have a significant impact, District Special Officer K.V.N. Chakradhara Babu conducted an on-ground inspection of precautionary measures on Monday.
The Special Officer personally reviewed the arrangements made by the district administration in Dandu Lakshmipuram village of Polaki Mandal and Kollipadu village of Santabommali Mandal, as well as the coastal Sunnapalli area.
Accompanied by District In-Charge Collector Farman Ahmed Khan and District Superintendent of Police K.V. Maheshwar Reddy, he inspected storm shelters, rehabilitation camps, food and medical supplies, and other essential facilities arranged for residents in vulnerable coastal villages.
He directed officials to remain on high alert, ensure adequate stock of essentials, and coordinate with all departments to handle any emergency arising from the cyclone.
The inspection reflects the district administration’s commitment to public safety and proactive disaster preparedness in the face of the impending cyclone.
