Wayanad, Kerala: The Wayanad Police have taken a significant step toward safeguarding children in the digital age with the launch of the district-level ‘Kid Glove’ digital vigilance initiative. The inauguration was held at WOHSS School and was formally performed by District Police Chief Taposh Basumatari, IPS.
The event was presided over by District Additional SP N. R. Jayaraj. As part of the program, Sub-Inspector Binoy Skaria of the Wayanad Cyber Crime Station and Senior Civil Police Officer K. Abdul Salam led an insightful awareness session on Digital Safety and Cyber Awareness. The class highlighted online dangers faced by children—such as unsafe games, social media risks, and cyber exploitation—and provided practical preventive measures to ensure safe internet usage.
The program received wide appreciation from the school community. W.M.O. CEO E. Muhammed Yusuf, Manorama Senior Executive Francis Jose, S.P.C. ADNO K. Mohandas and several others participated and addressed the gathering, praising the police’s proactive efforts.
The ‘Kid Glove’ initiative reflects the Wayanad Police’s commitment to protecting children, guiding students toward responsible digital habits, and building a cyber-safe future generation.
