Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh: In a major step to strengthen women’s safety and digital security, awareness programs on the “Shakti App” and cybercrimes are being conducted across all police stations in the district under the guidance of Kakinada District Superintendent of Police Sri G. Bindu Madhav, IPS.
As part of this initiative, police personnel today organized awareness sessions for students of Kakinada One Town L&O Police Station limit, Ludharan High School within Peddapuram Police Station, ZPHS High School under Kirlampudi Police Station, along with several other police station jurisdictions. The sessions highlighted the importance of the Shakti App in emergency situations, enabling women and the public to seek immediate help from the police with a single click. Students were also educated about cybercrimes, online safety, responsible use of social media, and precautionary measures.
The initiative has been widely appreciated, reflecting the proactive efforts of the Kakinada Police to empower women, protect vulnerable groups, and build a digitally safe society.
