Rachakonda, Telangana: The Jawahar Nagar Police of Rachakonda Commissionerate have arrested five persons along with one juvenile involved in the brutal murder of Sri Ghanta Venkata Ratnam Kumar at Saket Colony, Kapra, using knives and firearms.
On 08.12.2025, Sri Ghanta Ananthabala Prakash lodged a complaint stating that his brother, Sri Ghanta Venkata Ratna Kumar, was attacked and murdered by a group of unknown individuals while returning home after dropping his child at school. Based on the complaint, a case was registered, and teams were formed to investigate.
Arrested Accused
On 09.12.2025, the following accused were apprehended in Hyderabad City:
* Chandan Singh, s/o Late Sudhesh Singh, 33 years, Auto Garage businessman
* Kamarapu Naresh Kumar, s/o Anjaneyulu, 28 years, Auto Mechanic Helper
* Vadde Venkata Narayan, s/o Eshwaraiah, 35 years, Security Guard
* Nandyala Pavan Kumar, s/o Ravi Kumar, 20 years, Garage Worker
* Narsing, particulars mentioned in the case file
* One juvenile boy (17 years).
Another involved accused, Karan Singh (brother of Chandan Singh), is absconding, and efforts are underway to apprehend him.
Material Seized
Police recovered the following items from the accused:
* One pistol with 7 live rounds
* One country-made firearm (tapancha) with 1 live round
* Two sickles
* Two knives
* Mobile phone
* One auto-rickshaw
* One motorcycle
Motive Behind the Murder
Investigation revealed that Chandan Singh had longstanding enmity with the deceased over ancestral property disputes. He believed that the deceased had cheated his family, occupied their property, and was responsible for the encounter-related death of his father.
Driven by this grudge, Chandan Singh planned to eliminate the victim. On 08.12.2025 at around 07:45 AM, the accused intercepted the deceased using an auto-rickshaw and launched a violent attack. They stabbed him multiple times with knives and fired at him with a country-made firearm, causing instant death. The group then fled the scene.

Under the able leadership of Sri G. Sudheer Babu, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, and the direct supervision of Sri Ch. Sridhar, IPS, DCP Malkajgiri Zone, and Sri Y. Venkat Reddy, ACP Kushaiguda Division, multiple teams were deployed.
The dedicated efforts of Sri S. Saidaiah, SHO Jawahar Nagar, Sri G. Laxmaiah, Sri B. Ramu (SIs Jawahar Nagar PS), and their staff led to the swift arrest of the accused within 24 hours.
The Rachakonda Police reaffirm their commitment to ensuring public safety and bringing offenders to justice promptly.
