Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand: In Pithoragarh district in Dharchula town the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mr. Kunwar Singh Rawat, carried out a comprehensive half-yearly inspection of Thal and Nachni Police Stations today, reinforcing the department’s commitment to efficient policing and public service.
During the inspection, Station Officer Mr. Prakash Pandey of Thal Police Station and Station Officer Mr. Mangal Singh Negi of Nachni Police Station, along with all officers and staff, were present. The Deputy Superintendent of Police meticulously reviewed key areas of the police stations, including the evidence room, police station offices, armory, disaster management equipment, official records, CCTNS room, police mess, and staff barracks.
Mr. Rawat issued clear and constructive directions to investigating officers to ensure the speedy disposal of pending cases and to maintain high standards of investigation. He also reviewed the list of active history-sheeters and instructed officials to keep them under continuous surveillance to prevent criminal activities and maintain law and order.
Following the inspection, a Police Station Day was organized at Thal Police Station, during which the Deputy Superintendent of Police and station staff interacted directly with local residents. Public grievances and suggestions were patiently heard, with most issues resolved on the spot. For the remaining matters, firm assurances were given for early and effective resolution.
The inspection and public interaction highlighted the proactive approach of the Dharchula Police in strengthening internal administration, enhancing transparency, and building trust with the community.
