Andhra Pradesh: The Andhra Pradesh Police had come across a large number of migrant laborers who had come to Andhra Pradesh to earn their living. As the lockdown continuous due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Andhra Pradesh the migrant laborers are unable to find work and earn for their livelihood. In this situation, they are putting all efforts to go back to their hometowns.
Noticing the situation faced by the migrant laborers the Andhra Pradesh Police organized food, fruits and water along the roadside for the migrant laborers. The Police also counseled them and send them through the special trains to their home towns from 05.05 to 17.07 IST in 31 special trains. The total number of migrant laborers sent from Andhra Pradesh is 35268. Further in 7 special trains, 3594 persons reached Andhra Pradesh.
