Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu: Police personnel under the Avadi Police Commissionerate are intensifying efforts to ensure public safety and raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse. As part of this initiative, officers across all police stations, in coordination with members of the Anti-Drug Club, conducted evening patrols and organized drug eradication awareness meetings targeting students and youth.
The patrols were actively carried out in high-footfall areas such as bus stands, railway stations, marketplaces, TASMAC outlets, and shopping malls. These measures aim to curb criminal activities, foster a safe public environment, and educate the younger generation on the harmful effects of narcotics.
This combined effort highlights the police department’s continued commitment to both crime prevention and community engagement, ensuring a safer and more informed society.
