Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu: Demonstrating their commitment to child safety, the Anti-Child Trafficking Unit (ACTU) of the M5 Ennore Police Station, under the Avadi Police Commissionerate, conducted an awareness program in the Vimko Nagar area. Around 70 residents participated in the session, where officers educated the public on crimes against children, preventive measures against kidnappings, maintaining public discipline, the provisions of the POCSO Act, and the dangers of child labor and abuse. Information on child helplines was also shared, empowering the community to protect children and report incidents promptly.
