Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, 05 August 2025: In a determined effort to combat drug abuse, Baijnath Police carried out a prompt and successful operation in Village Tharu, leading to the seizure of 5.90 grams of chitta (heroin).
Acting on credible intelligence received during a routine patrol, the police team conducted a swift raid and apprehended Rinku, a resident of Baijnath. Upon searching him, a quantity of narcotic substance (chitta) was recovered. A case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act, and further investigation is underway to trace the source of the contraband and identify his possible network.
This operation is part of Kangra Police’s zero-tolerance policy against drug trafficking. The police remain committed to eradicating the drug menace and urge the public to cooperate in building a drug-free and safe society.
