North Garo Hills, Meghalaya: In a swift and effective operation on August 31, 2025, the Bajengdoba Police Team in North Garo Hills District apprehended a suspected vehicle lifter, Shri Jaibin Rabha of Agia, Goalpara, Assam, acting on a reliable tip-off.
During questioning, the accused confessed to stealing two motorcycles from Assam and selling them at Getapara village. Acting on this lead, the police successfully recovered three stolen two-wheelers without number plates:
* A grey Pulsar 125 CC bike
* A black & red Pulsar 180 CC bike
* A blue & black NTORQ scooter
Two of the recovered bikes were directly linked to a theft case registered at Agia Police Station, Assam. The accused and the stolen vehicles have since been handed over to Agia Police for further legal action, while the scooter is under verification at the local police station.
This successful recovery underscores the commitment of Bajengdoba Police to cracking down on vehicle theft and ensuring the safety and security of citizens.
