Bibinagar Police apprehended 19 persons who participated in banned cock fight

Rachakonda:  On 23.08.2020 evening, on receipt of credible information, the sleuths of Special Operations Team (SOT), Bhongir Zone along with Bibinagar Police raided on a place of gaming under the limits of Chinnapalugu Thanda of Bibinagar Police Station where the organized cock-fight was going on and apprehended 19 persons who participated in the banned organized crime. The Police seized 40 Cocks out of which 32 were alive and 8 were dead, Net cash of Rs.1,51,210/-, 60 Knives that were being used in the cock-fight, 14 Cars and 30 Motorcycles, all worth about Rs.75,00,000/-  from their possession.

A case was filed with Cr.No.268/2020 U/S 188, 269 IPC, sEC.9 (2) Of Telangana State Gaming Act 1974, SEC.11 (1)(N) Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960 of Bibinagar Police Station of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate

  4. Tanneeru Dattu son of late Nageswara Rao, age: 22 years, occupation: Agriculture, Resident of Nagole, Uppal.
  5. Kunchala Kondal son of Ramaiah, age: 27 years, occupation: Mesthry, Resident of Beerappagadda, Uppal.
  6. D.Srinivasarao son of Sathaiah, age: 38 years, occupation: welding work, Resident of Masthan Nagar, Jubilee Hills.
  7. M.Vengal Rao son of Malakondaiah, Age:30 years, Resident of Chilukanagar, Uppal.
  8. K.Venkateshwarlu son of Venkaiah, age: 56 years Resident of Swarnabharathi colony, Guntur.
  9. Ch.Raju son of Jangaiah age:28 years, occupation: driver, Resident of Bathukammakunta, Amberpet.
  10. Ravuri Manikyam son of Durgaiah, age:50 years, occupation: business, Resident of Bhag Amberpet, Ramanthapur, Hyderabad.
  11. Jogi Venkateswara Rao son of Ramulu, age: 37 years, occupation: cab driver, Resident of Sainagar, LB Nagar.
  12. SK Shafi son of Gilani, age: 35years, occupation: welding work, Resident of LB Nagar, Hyderabad.
  13. Gunje Prasad son of Kotaiah, age: 35 years, occupation: Mesthry, Resident of Mallikarjuna Nagar, Dammaiguda.
  14. Ch.Purnachandra Rao son of Rama Subba Rao, age: 52 years, occupation: agriculture, Resident of Ratna Nagar, Choutuppal.
  15. J. Krishna son of Kamalaiah, age: 40 years, Resident of Housing board colony, Kukatpally, Hyderabad.
  16. B.Venkateshwarlu Son of Venkanna, age: 70 years Resident of Venkataramana colony, Vanasthalipuram.
  17. T.Venkateshwarlu son of Kotalah age: 42 years occupation: Mesthry, Resident of Birappagadda, Uppal.
  18. M.Sairam son of Janalah age: 22 years occupation: plumber Resident of Hanmapuram, Bhongir.
  19. Ch.Laxmaiah son of Kotaiah, age: 50 years, occupation: Mesthri, Resident of NGO’s colony, Vanasthalipuram

On 23.08.2020 at 14.00 hours, on credible information about the running of banned gaming ie. cockfight under the limits of China Palugu Thanda of Bibinagar Police Station, the sleuths of SOT along with Bibinagar Police raided on the place of gaming where the ‘Organized Cock-Fight was going on and found a gathering consisting of nearly 40-50 persons participating in the banned cock-fight by betting the money. Of them, the Police teams apprehended 19 persons while the remaining persons including the organizers managed to escape. On interrogation, the arrested accused confessed that the Madhusudhan Reddy (main organizer) with the help of Sridhar (co-organizer) and Pandu had organized such banned Cockfight by taking money from the each accused participated in it. The remaining accused persons wilfully participated in Cockfight by betting money so as to earn easy money. In pursuance of the confession of the accused persons, the material objects used in the banned illegal activity i.e. Cocks-40 (32 live and 8 dead), Net Cash Rs. 1,51,210.00, Cockfight knives-60, Mobile Phones-20, and Cars-14, Motorcycles-30 were seized from their possession and instance under the cover of panchanama in the presence of mediators. Later, the arrested accused were brought to the Bibinagar Police Station along with seized material objects at 18.30 hours.

The above arrests were made under the supervision of Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda Commissionerate, Mr. G.Sudheer Babu, IPS., Addl. Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, Mr. K.Narayan Reddy, DCP Yadadri Bhongir Zone under the direct guidance of Mr. J.Surender Reddy, Addl. Dy. Commissioner of Police, Special Operations Team, Rachakonda, Mr. N.Bhujanga Rao, ACP Bhongir by Mr. P.Venkateshwarlu, Inspector of Police, Mr. Y.Laxminarayana, Sl of Police & SOT Team, Mr. V.Janalah, Cl of Police Bhongir Rural, Mr. H.Raghavender, Si of Police Bibinagar and staff of Bibinagar Police Station.
