Patna, Bihar: In a major success against illegal liquor smuggling, the Special Operations Team of the Bihar Prohibition Unit, acting on reliable intelligence, carried out two significant raids and recovered a total of 4,604.73 liters of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) being transported into the state.
In the first operation conducted on 07 August 2025, the team, with the support of Singwada Police Station in Darbhanga district, intercepted a four-wheeler vehicle and seized 1,058.73 liters of IMFL being illegally brought into Bihar.
In the second major breakthrough, the team, in coordination with Muzaffarpur Police Station, raided a warehouse and recovered 3,546 liters of IMFL. The operation also led to the seizure of a six-wheeler container truck and two pickup vehicles used for transportation. In a swift and coordinated action, eight individuals involved in the smuggling operation were arrested on the spot.
