Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh: In a decisive enforcement action to curb noise pollution and ensure road safety, the Bilaspur Traffic Police have launched a strict crackdown against illegal modified silencers and those involved in their sale and installation.
Acting on the instructions of Senior Superintendent of Police Shri Rajnesh Singh, IPS, traffic police teams removed illegal silencers from motorcycles and replaced them with standard silencers. Action has also been initiated against vehicle owners, garages, and auto parts dealers found selling or fitting modified silencers.
The campaign reinforces the police’s message of “No noise, only safety,” underscoring a zero-tolerance policy against the use of modified silencers that create public disturbance and violate vehicle safety norms.
The initiative has been widely appreciated by citizens for addressing noise pollution and enhancing the overall safety and discipline of road users in the city.
