Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh: In a powerful and coordinated action to uphold law and order, Bilaspur Police under Civil Line Police Station carried out a major crackdown in Mangala, Kududanda, and Talapara areas, taking strong action against 21 miscreants in a single day.
Led by senior officials, the police recovered two illegal weapons, seized 11.7 liters of illicit liquor, and arrested three wanted individuals, sending a clear message to anti-social elements operating in the area.
Key highlights of the operation:
Two weapons seized: A sword-like weapon from Vicky Patre (Mangala) and an iron batta-type weapon from Tahir Khan (Talapara); cases filed under Arms Act Sections 25 & 27.
Illegal liquor seized:
Ritesh Dhruv was found with 30 quarters (5.4 liters) of country liquor.
Mohd. Abdullah possessed 12 quarters of foreign and 23 quarters of country liquor (total 6.3 liters).
Preventive action under CrPC Sections 151, 107, and 116 was taken against 14 individuals suspected of disturbing peace.
Three wanted accused — Prem Sharma, Keshav Pandey (both on permanent warrants), and Govinda Yadav — were arrested and produced in court.
In total, the operation led to the seizure of 2 weapons, 65 liquor quarters, and the arrest of 3 absconders, making it one of the most impactful drives in recent weeks.
