Border Security Force Recruitment for the Post of Head Constable

New Delhi: The Border Security Force (BSF) has announced Job notification to hire candidates who completed 10TH for the position of Head Constable.

The name of the recruiting Organization is the Border Security Force (BSF). The name of the Post is Head Constable. There are 137 vacant posts. The salary package is between Rs.25, 500/- to Rs.81, 100/- per month. The job location is in New Delhi. The last date to apply is 20/10/2020.

It has been proposed to fill up following Group ‘B’ & ‘C’ posts in Border Security Force (BSF) Engineering Set-up as well as NDRF Bns which is Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial posts for a period of as mentioned against each. The eligibility conditions are as under:-

  1. Posts: Head Constable, Number of Vacant Posts is 12 and the eligibility conditions are as under:-

(a) (i) Head Constable of Border Security Force possessing Industrial Training Institute certificate with two years’ experience certificate in the respective trade from any Institute or Organization recognized by Central or the State Government subject to qualifying proficiency test;

(ii) Constables of Border Security Force with eight years’ regular service in the levels in the pay matrix and possessing Industrial Training Institute certificate from a recognized institute with three years’ experience certificate in the respective trade from any Institute or Organization recognized by the Central or State Governments subject to qualifying of the professional test; or

(iii) Personnel holding equivalent or analogous posts in the Army, other Central Para Military Forces or Central or State Police  Level-7 in the pay matrix (Rs.25,500-  81,100) as per 7th CPC.

  1. Posts: Head Constable, Number of Vacant Posts is 33 and the eligibility conditions are as under:-

The organization, Central Public Works Department or the State Public Works Department or Central or State Government Ministries or Departments and possessing the following qualification:- (b) (i) Matriculation or IOth class pass from recognized board or Institute; (ii) Industrial Training Institute certificate in respective trade from a recognized Institute with three years’ experience in the respective trade from a firm recognized by the Central or the State Govemment subject to qualifying professional (c) For Ex-Servicemen Deputation/Re-employment: The Armed Forces personnel due to retire or who are to be transferred to reserve within a period of one year and having requisite prescribed qualifications and experience shall also be considered. Such persons would be given deputation terms up to the date on which they are due for release from the Armed Forces; thereafter they may be continued on re-employment. (d) The period of deputation will be for three years. (e) The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be not exceeding 52 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications. Level-7 in the pay matrix (Rs. 25,500-  81,100) as per 7th CPC.

The organization, Central Public Works Department or the State Public Works Department or Central or State Government Ministries or Departments and possessing the following qualification:- (b) (i) Matriculation or IOth class pass from recognized board or Institute; (ii) Industrial Training Institute certificate in respective trade from a recognized Institute with three years’ experience in the respective trade from a firm recognized by the Central or the State Govemment subject to qualifying professional (c) For Ex-Servicemen Deputation/Re-employment: The Armed Forces personnel due to retire or who are to be transferred to reserve within a period of one year and having requisite prescribed qualifications and experience shall also be considered. Such persons would be given deputation terms up to the date on which they are due for release from the Armed Forces; thereafter they may be continued on re-employment. (d) The period of deputation will be for three years. 4. Posts: Head Constable, Number of Vacant Posts is 39 and the eligibility conditions are as under:-

Officials of the Central or State Governments or Union Territories or Armed Forces, or Central Para Military Forces or Central or State Police Organizations: (i) holding analogous post on regular basis; or (ii) with eight years regular service in the PML-3; and (iii) Subject to qualifying proficiency test. (iv) Should be matric or 10th pass or equivalent and possessing two years’ experience in trade those with certificate/ diploma from recognized institutes in the trade will be preferred. (v) The Army personnel who possess qualifications or have successfully completed courses recognized by Army as equivalent to the educational qualifications prescribed for this posts will also be eligible for such posts provided that such courses/ qualification are duly approved and recognized as equivalent by any Central or State authority like the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). (vi) The period of deputation will be for 07 years. (vii) The age of induction to National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) battalions shall not be exceeding 45 years as on the closing date of receipt of application. Level-7 in the pay matrix (Rs. 25,500-  81,100) as per 7th CPC.

5. Posts: Head Constable, Number of Vacant Posts is 5 and the eligibility conditions are as under:-

(i) Serving Border Security Force Head Constable (General Duty) possessing Industrial Training Institute certificate and two years’ experience certificate in the respective trade from any institute recognized by Central or State Government subject to qualifying proficiency test. (ii) Serving Border Security Force Constables (General Duty) having eight years of service and possessing an Industrial Training Institute certificate and three years’ experience certificate in the respective trade from any Institute recognized by the Central or State Governments subject to qualifying of the professional test. (iii) Personnel holding equivalent or analogous posts in Army, other Central Para Military Forces or Central or the State Police Organization, Central Public Works Department or Public Works Department or Central or the State Government Ministries or Departments and possessing following qualification:- Matriculation or 10th class pass from recognized board or Institute or equivalent and Industrial Training Institute (ITI) certificate in the trade like Mason or Carpenter or Plumber or Electrician or Blacksmith or Welder or Painter or Polisher or Mechanist or three years’ experience in respective trade from a reputed firm subject to qualifying proficiency test. (iv) The period of deputation will be for three years. (v) The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be not exceeding 52 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications. The Age of the candidates should not exceed 45 years as on the closing date of receipt of application. The Address of the recruiting Organization is Dy. Inspector General (Staff), Directorate General, BSF, Block No.4, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi – 110003. Eligibility conditions for appointment on deputation basis.

Since the posts are required to be filled up urgently, the nomination of eligible/ willing candidates may be forwarded in the given proforma as per Annexure along with a copy of CR dossiers duly attested for the last five years to the Dy. Inspector General (Staff), Directorate General, BSF, Block No.4, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi – 110003 so as to reach this HQr within sixty days of publication of this advertisement in the Employment News. While forwarding the nominations, concerned departments may please verify and certify that the particulars furnished by the candidates are correct and that no disciplinary or vigilance case is pending/ contemplated against the candidates. It may also be confirmed that in the event of selection for appointment, the candidate concerned will be relieved of his duties. The candidates selected for these posts shall be governed under the provisions contained in DOP&T OM No.6/8/2009-Estt. (Pay-II) dated 17 June 2010 as amended from time to time during the period of deputation. Officials who volunteer and are sponsored for the post will not be permitted to withdraw their names later and applications received directly from the candidates will not be entertained.
