Hyderabad, Telangana: After assuming charge as the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, Sri V.C. Sajjanar, IPS, conducted his first video conference with officers from all police stations and wings of the city.
Commending the force for their dedicated service over the past six months, the Commissioner urged officers to maintain professionalism, discipline, and strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). He stressed the importance of respectful public interaction, swift action against negligence, and a zero-tolerance policy toward misuse of authority.
To motivate and recognize exceptional service, Sri Sajjanar announced the launch of the ‘Extra Mile Reward’ program, which will honor police personnel who go above and beyond the call of duty.
Highlighting the department’s priorities, the Commissioner emphasized a collective commitment to making Hyderabad drug-free, ensuring women and child safety, innovative traffic management, and the effective use of technology in policing.
He also appreciated officers for their recent achievements, including solving a child murder case, rescuing destitute individuals, and cracking a 30-year-old case, reflecting the department’s efficiency and compassion.
The meeting was attended in person by Joint Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners of Police, while other officers joined the conference virtually, marking a strong, coordinated start under the new leadership.
