Andhra Pradesh: The distribution of 62 cheques of relief was done to the family members of Police personnel who laid down their lives while serving the Society. And a total of 186 cheques of Rs.5.7 Cr. were distributed so far in 3 phases. All the Range DISG, CPS, SPs, and officers to the level of SHOs have participated through VC from their respective places in the disbursal of 62 relief cheques each of Rs.3 Lakhs to the bereaved family of each Police person.
The DGP interacted with the bereaved family members of Police personnel and assured that AP Police will continue to support the welfare and wellbeing of Police families who laid down their lives while serving the society during the COVID pandemic time. The DGP extended gratitude to Mankind Pharma Limited for the initiative and kind gesture exhibited with the significant support of 5.7 Cr rupees to 186 families of Police COVID martyrs as a demonstration of public recognition of Police services and sacrifices and said that Andhra Pradesh Police will continue to strive and demonstrate commitment to rise up to the people’s expectations, individually and collectively to serve the society in a better manner in the coming days also.
