Hyderabad, Telangana: Director General of Police Shivdhar Reddy announced that comprehensive and foolproof security arrangements have been put in place for the first phase of Gram Panchayat elections scheduled in Telangana on Thursday.
Elections will be conducted in over 3,800 panchayats, with webcasting enabled in nearly 3,000 locations to ensure transparency and real-time monitoring.
The DGP stated that special security measures have been enforced at all sensitive and problematic polling centers. Large contingents of Civil Police, Armed Reserve, and Special Police Forces have been deployed to maintain peace, prevent untoward incidents, and safeguard the democratic process.
The Telangana Police reaffirmed their commitment to conducting free, fair, and peaceful elections across the state.
