Hyderabad, Telangana, August 19, 2025: In a major breakthrough against narcotics trafficking, the Domalguda Police successfully arrested two interstate drug peddlers and seized 18 kilograms of dry ganja worth approximately ₹4.5 lakh. The operation, carried out with precision on credible information, is a testament to the proactive policing and vigilance of Hyderabad Police.
Acting swiftly, the police apprehended two suspects, Komal Sominath Pvar (23) and Sahil Mahesh Salunke (18), near Liberty ‘T’ Junction, Ambedkar Colony. The duo, carrying travel bags, was found in possession of the narcotic substance, which they had reportedly procured from a supplier in Vijayawada with the intention of transporting it to Aurangabad for illegal sale. Another accused, identified as Babu of Vijayawada, is absconding and efforts are on to trace him.
Along with the contraband, police seized two mobile phones used for the illegal trade. The arrested individuals were immediately taken into custody, and further investigations are underway to dismantle the wider supply chain.
This successful operation was conducted under the close supervision of K. Shilpavalli, IPS, DCP Central Zone, along with B. Anand, Addl. DCP, A. Yadagiri, ACP, and a dedicated team led by Inspector D. Srinivas Reddy and his staff.
The Hyderabad Police reaffirmed their commitment to making the city drug-free and assured that stringent action will continue against those indulging in illegal narcotics trade.
